Is it just me, or has it been a little quiet around here? Yeah, that’s my bad. Not that it could possibly be anybody else’s bad, because I’m the only one who posts here, but still. I take full blame.
It’s not that I haven’t been baking. Oh, have I been baking. In fact, in the past few weeks some things more insane than you can possibly imagine have emerged from my kitchen. Cookies that basically embody everything good that can happen in a cookie. A pb&j mille crepes cake. A reuben danish made with rye puff pastry. A crostata and shortcakes and mini tartlets and fallen souffle cupcakes. I feel tired just writing all those down. May is only half over, and it’s already been a little bit exhausting.
Will I post these recipes for you? Of course! Now that I’ve mentioned them and made you aware of their existence, it would be a little bit cruel not to. Unfortunately, there are other things I have to do too. Chapters to rewrite and a book to review and a newsletter to edit. And that’s just the not-fun stuff. There are also parties and baseball games to attend, friends to welcome to California, and babies to play with. So posting here might be a little bit irregular for the time being. Also, I’m suspending the theme-week concept, because it requires way too much advance planning for me to handle at this particular point in time.
